A mining company and a nonprofit are working together to improve the lives of people in Peru

More than half of the population of the district of Hualgayoc, Peru, lives in extreme poverty. The region also has a long history of mining, which has not been free of conflict. To change this reality, an unusual partnership formed between private enterprise, international donors, and local non-governmental groups.
